Community Standards

Where Learning Thrives and Respect Leads

At TutorSplash, we believe education flourishes in communities built on curiosity, kindness, and inclusion. Our platform brings together students, parents, and tutors from across the globe—all connected by the shared goal of helping young learners thrive.

We’re more than a tutoring platform. We’re a community of mentors, explorers, and families who value respect, accountability, and lifelong growth. Every member of our community contributes to the safety, enrichment, and positive spirit of TutorSplash.

These Community Standards set the tone for our culture. All TutorSplash members—students, tutors, and parents—are expected to uphold them at all times. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal.

πŸ’¬1. Respect is Non-Negotiable

We treat each other with dignity, regardless of age, background, or belief. There is zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or hate of any kind.

We explicitly welcome and protect diversity across:

  • Race, ethnicity, nationality, and culture
  • Gender identity and expression
  • Sexual orientation
  • Religious beliefs
  • Family structures and neurodiversity
  • Language ability and educational background

Everyone deserves to feel safe and seen.

🧠2. Learning Is a Shared Journey

Students come to TutorSplash with different goals, learning styles, and challenges. Tutors are here to empower—not judge. Parents are here to support—not pressure. We value patience, curiosity, and personalized growth over rigid achievement.

We encourage questions, celebrate effort, and allow mistakes. That’s how true learning happens.

πŸ›‘οΈ3. Safety Comes First

  • Sessions must occur only through TutorSplash’s built-in platform tools (video, whiteboard, chat).
  • Off-platform communication is strictly prohibited.
  • All sessions may be recorded for quality assurance and protection.
  • Tutors and parents must report any inappropriate behavior immediately.

Any violation of safety policies may result in immediate suspension or legal action.

🌐4. Everyone Has a Role in Inclusion

  • Tutors provide inclusive, age-appropriate content.
  • Students and parents use respectful language at all times.
  • Everyone makes room for voices different from their own.
  • We do not tolerate bullying, hate speech, or microaggressions—ever.

🀝5. Professionalism, Always

  • Tutors must be punctual, prepared, and responsive.
  • Students must show up on time and be ready to learn.
  • Parents must communicate respectfully and collaborate in good faith.
  • All members are expected to resolve issues with maturity and use the proper channels (including the Report button or support@tutorsplash.com).

πŸ“œ6. Integrity Is Everything

We expect honesty in every interaction—whether that’s representing your qualifications, using platform materials, or giving feedback. Cheating, plagiarism, impersonation, or dishonest reviews damage our trust and will not be tolerated.

🌱7. Growth Mindset Over Perfection

We’re all learning—students, tutors, and families. We believe in progress over perfection. Our best community members are those who:

  • Embrace feedback
  • Admit when they’re wrong
  • Keep improving
  • Support others’ growth, too

⚠️Consequences for Violating Standards

  • Written warnings
  • Mandatory retraining
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account removal
  • Reporting to authorities if safety is compromised

We take every report seriously and act swiftly in accordance with Canadian law and our internal safety protocols.

❀️Final Word

At TutorSplash, you’re not just a user. You’re part of a mission-driven learning community. Let’s work together to make this a place where every student feels safe, every tutor feels respected, and every family feels supported.

TutorSplash Code of Conduct

TutorSplash Code of Conduct

At TutorSplash, we believe that great learning experiences are built on a foundation of respect, safety, professionalism, and inclusion. These Codes of Conduct apply to Tutors, Parents/Guardians, and Students to ensure a thriving, trusted learning environment.

Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform, in addition to reporting under Canadian law when appropriate.

TutorSplash tutors are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and instructional quality.

Tutors must:

  • Only offer classes you are qualified to teach based on your education, experience, or credentials.
  • Teach professionally: Be prepared, start on time, teach from a quiet and distraction-free space, and use reliable audio/video equipment.
  • Never teach while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs judgment or behavior.
  • Model appropriate behavior: Avoid gestures, language, or media that would be inappropriate for learners under 18.
  • Treat all learners with respect, regardless of age, background, beliefs, or ability.
  • Keep all communication on-platform using TutorSplash’s messaging and classroom tools. Personal contact details must never be shared.

πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§ Parent & Guardian Code of Conduct

Parents and guardians are essential partners in ensuring a successful and safe learning experience for their children.

Parents/guardians must:

  • Actively supervise sessions for learners under 18, especially during live classes.
  • Read class descriptions thoroughly and ask tutors for clarification as needed.
  • Support session attendance. Many classes depend on group participation, and frequent no-shows disrupt the learning environment.
